Frequently asked questions
What is day-use?
Day-use means booking a hotel room or space during the day, with no overnight stay, for a set time slot (for example 10am to 5pm). Perfect for a layover, a business trip, remote work or simply to rest.
How do I book?
Pick your city and date, compare the offers and their time slots, then book in a few clicks. Confirmation is instant.
Do I have to pay online?
Most offers are paid on site, at the hotel. Depending on the hotel, the booking may require a card imprint (guarantee, nothing charged), a deposit paid online (the balance is settled at the hotel at check-in) or full online payment (in which case there is nothing to pay at the hotel). Any amount due online is always shown before you confirm.
What are the booking modes?
Depending on the hotel: instant (confirmed right away), card guarantee (a simple hold, nothing charged), deposit (part paid online, the balance at the hotel), full payment (all online) or on request (the hotel confirms before validating). The mode is shown on each offer before you pay. If a booking combines several products with different modes, the most demanding one applies to the whole booking (in increasing order of demand: instant > card guarantee > deposit > full payment > on request).
What happens if I no-show?
A no-show means not turning up without cancelling on RoomForDay. If a card guarantee was required, the hotel can have the full room amount charged. A no-show may also restrict your account to a systematic card guarantee on future bookings. Always cancel on RoomForDay to avoid it.
What does the hotel ask for on arrival?
Show your booking number and an ID. Whatever the mode, the hotel may also ask for a card imprint as a guarantee for any extras (mini-bar, room service). It is not a charge.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellation is free on eligible offers, up to the last minute and always on RoomForDay (never with the hotel). Use the code received by email from the Cancellation page.
What time can I arrive and leave?
Each offer shows its time slot (for example 9am to 7pm). You choose the one that suits you; night-time hours do not apply.
Do I need an account?
No, you can book without an account. Creating one lets you prefill your details and find your bookings.
Can I book at the last minute?
Yes. Many hotels accept last-minute bookings, sometimes for the same day. Availability is shown in real time based on the date you choose.
